Stephen McAteer of Ontario, Canada winning his first of two Irish Dance World Championships. This was the 25th World Irish Dance Championship and he won the Junior Men's Event (ages 17-19).








In "Trading Taps" from Riverdance at Radio City Music Hall, a tap-off was performed between Irish dancers Colin Dunne, Glenn Simpson and Pat Roddy versus American style tap dancers that included Tarik Winston.








Catriona Hale of Coventry, England winning the Irish Dance World Championships.  This was the 25th World Irish Dance Championship and she won the Junior Women's Event (ages 17-19).  She has won 9 World titles and 6 All-Ireland, Great Britain and American titles and later toured with "Lord of the Dance."
